ShiftCal can scale an annual calendar to fit within the user-defined printable region of nearly any page size supported by the printer.

"Annual" is the second tab in the Print Options dialog.

If the user specifies a print region that is wider than it is tall, the calendar will print in a 4x3 grid (4 months wide by 3 months tall).

If the user specifies a print region that is taller than it is wide, the calendar will print in a 3x4 grid (3 months wide by 4 months tall).

To print a six-month calendar, choose the "Annual" tab on the Print Options dialog, and click on the "Semi-Annual" checkbox.

This setting can be permanently saved to the current .ini file by performing a Settings | Save Settings operation.

Alternatively, the user can manually edit an .ini file by placing the following line in the [Config] section:

SemiAnnual=1

Semi-annual calendars print in 3x2 or 2x3 grids.

Key point: the format is defined by the width and height of the printable region as selected by the user. If the printer is in "Portrait" mode and the user specifies a combination of margins that yields a printable region wider than it is tall, the printed output will be a 4x3 grid for annual calendars, or a 3x2 grid for semi-annual calendars.

Conversely, if the printer is in "Landscape" mode and the user specifies a printable region that is taller than it is wide, the printed output will be a 3x4 grid for annual calendars, or a 2x3 grid for semi-annual calendars.
